Nick Stonley My last Challenge a couple of years ago was to walk the 84 miles of Hadrian’s Wall in one go with no sleep which I achieved in 36 hours whilst raising £20,000 for charity. I have been looking for a New Challenge for a worthy cause and came across the Atlas Foundation via Jason Leonard. I was so impressed with the care, concern and generosity that the rugby fraternity provide for the Indian children that I decided to join them on the 2019 Challenge. We will be trekking for 4 days in the Himalayas and visiting Jungle Villages in North Bengal. Along the way
we will be delivering kit to the kids and playing some rugby with them. I have pledged to raise a minimum of £20,000 for the rural poor in India. Every £10,000 guarantees the programme for one of the village rugby/education centres for two years. It’s a remarkable programme which has raised graduation rates at 16yrs from 18% to 80%.
